DUBBING INTO SPANISH USING AI (Doblar un episodio de podcast sobre derecho o mediación al español utilizando ElevenLabs.io AI)

Daniel Rainey recently joined me to publish episode 301 in English over on the LMIPodcast.com.

Here is the dubbed version in Spanish retaining (somewhat) our voices.

Steps to dub audio or video using your voice through AI.

  1. Visit Elevenlabs.io, created an account, and pay for credits. I opted for the Creator plan of $22/mo, which provides 100,000 monthly credits. For this 30 minute video with Daniel, it costs 60,133 credits (90,200 without their watermark). Price chart below.
  2. Select the Dubbing Product
  3. Fill in title (100 characters max) and upload the video or audio file, using either uploading or link. My plan allows for 500MB /45 min sized files. A trick to reducing file sizes is uploading a large file into YouTube and downloading back to your PC before uploading into ElevenLabs. For example, after uploading a 28min 2gig file into YouTube, I downloaded it as a 321 MB sized video file.
  4. For this 30 minute recording, it took around 10minutes to process.
  5. When you preview a video on ElevenLabs, it only let’s you playback a portion, here 15 minutes. But when you download, you will have the few clip.

Some Takeaways

Note, dubbing is not realtime. This is post edit-work after you’ve done your recording. For realtime you’ll need something like Byrdhouse Translations.

There are A LOT of other projects that can be done in addition to dubbing using ElevenLabs, such as voice changer and speech to text.
